Let’s Celebrate with a Giveaway!

Thank you for joining me on this incredible journey to create a new generation of respectful, Christ-centered families! Just by subscribing you’ve encourage me to keep going and take that next step with the ministry. One of the most uplifting experiences for me is reading your heartfelt comments—they not only brighten my day, but also provide invaluable insights and feedback. The next best way you can show your support for RCD is by liking an article after you’ve read it. Thank you for taking that extra step!

Here’s a quick look at some of the awesome things that happened this year:

  • We facilitated two successful workshops: “What is Christian Discipline” workshop and “Sibling Rivalry & Understanding Consequences” workshop.
  • We designed a beautiful workbook for each one.
  • We raised over $300 to cover filing costs with the state and IRS to officially become a 501c3 organization.

Next year we are excited to launch another unique workshop to complete the 3-workshop cycle. We intend to continue offering these workshops in-person, providing opportunities for those who may have missed one or wish to have their spouse take a turn.

We are also working on converting all workshops into a self-paced video format to connect with even more families. Our mission is definitely getting out- I’m already signing up to speak at events, co-ops, and podcasts in the coming year!

Details for the Giveaway:

  • To Enter: Subscribe to the website (you already have if you receive the Friday emails) and share an article on your social media! If you want to share on Instagram, create a Story, link the article, and tag me, resources4christiandiscipline, using the @mention so I get notified (if none of those options suit you, contact me, and we’ll find a solution). I suggest sharing one of last year’s popular articles like these two, but feel free to share any article you enjoyed:
  • The Winner: The winner will receive a parenting book handpicked by me! Where are you in your journey? A brand new parent, managing toddlers, or guiding a teen? Are you in need of practical applications or perhaps you’d like some theology to help you connect scripture with parenting? Start the new year off right with a book uniquely selected for you and your family.
    • The winner will be selected in one week, on Friday Nov 29th and will be notified by email.

This time of year, I can’t help but think about how children long for parents that care more about being present over being perfect. We often bear the weight of our own high expectations, overextending ourselves in an attempt to make everyone happy. Things aren’t always going to go as planned and children-and parents alike are going to be more prone to “misbehave” aka, make mistakes. Instead of requiring perfectionism (not healthy) from ourselves or our children we should practice the courage to be imperfect, extending grace to ourselves and to our children.

Seeking to be present allows space for God to work in us, helping us live out the Fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. On this side of heaven, we will never perfectly live out these attributes, but as believers we have a Helper: the Holy Spirit! And though He won’t magically make us perfectly patient and kind, He can increase our desire to be.

Would you consider making an end-of-year contribution to assist with the costs related to printing flyers, workbooks, as well as the costs related to website hosting and domain registration? Together, we can help parents ready their children’s hearts for the gospel, advancing God’s Kingdom, one parent at a time!
